Sir, I represent the self employed urban middle class from services sector. I Have spent the 50 odd years of my existence in this country. Now when my descent has began, I am apprehensive of our future.
I wonder if I have failed the country busy as I was in settling down. Now when I have exhausted my aspirations having failed to achieve my ambitions. I am trying to look through the dense fog just beyond the horizon.
All I can see are dark, ominous clouds of trouble. I may have become cynical with an absolute negative attitude but I do hold no hope from my present political leadership.
For all fail to see men and women of substance. Politics is no longer a calling or vocation but has become a fiercely competitive profession with no holds bared.
Bankrupt of imagination, our leadership is busy with deflecting our attention from the core issues essential for our development.
Instead using the age old recipe of divide & rule they are out to create trouble in order to stop us from demanding better from the governance which they are unable to deliver.
As they neither have the imagination nor the dynamism to think out of box, creative & bold solution, When the sole desire is to some how increase the TRP ratings & grab the maximum eyeballs for the umpteen commercial breaks all we can get is a boring saas bahu opera.
I wonder why we do not have leaders of mettle like the real: Gandhi, Sardar, Rajaji or Shashtriji anymore. Do we need another thousand years of insult from outside forces?
I am glad that my days are numbered now but am really sad for the younger generation who have greater challenges before them with no clue to tackle them.
