Are women sex slaves? I am shattered & shocked to read the new law in Afghanistan where by a husband can deny wife food if sex is denied by her at least once in four days.
A rape victim can be compensated in cash, if she is not held guilty & put down for being of lose morals & having enticed her victim (the rapist). Women can not interact with any man save their husband father, brother and children.
I wonder if this indeed the Sharia law or in the name of religion women are taken for a royal ride. Indeed world lives in different time zones ranging from 16 to 21st century.
The conflict is due to friction between time templates. I do wish that 21st century wins for else we will be back to stone age.

in afganistan it is for the male pleasure & to generate a male progeny
the late taliban commander remarried as he had 3 daughters from 1st wife as if it was wife’s fault & the 2nd one would have given him a male heir
may be after 3rd daughter he was unwilling to wait any longer
but such is the 2 faced society there
with the passage of this law karzai is going to win the elections with the thumping majority. He is trying to appease the Muslims hardliners for getting their support and will succeed in it.
Education the people is the only answer.
it's not so that all men are happy with this law but the problem is they don't have the courage to oppose it as the Muslim militants are also supporting this law.
