Bengal is dead; long live Mamta

It is said that bad coin & lousy politicians seldom go out of circulation. After a brief festival reprieve Bengal is ready to face the body line bouncers from Mamta again.

From 1st November she will start her demands again about the returning of the land to unwilling farmers again. What if the same land is in patches scattered through out the land acquired by left pause.

The said land is no longer fit for agriculture. So what the farmers are going to do with the said land pause, who will determine how much land belongs to unwilling farmers, Mamta of course.

What happened to the proposed defamation suit against Tatas, pause
who will compensate Tatas & vendors for the development, pause. The logic is not far to seek the land in question can only be used for industry.

So either tiny industries have to be set up which will be constantly harassed by the band of brigands or any big industry will have to negotiate with Mamta & whatever compensation /jobs she wants have to be given to her supporters as also to others
but this is what Tata & left were prepared to do.

I am confused what about you? Sara hisaab jyon ka tyon fir bhi kunba duba kyon

I applied the average & got in to the river with my family I wonder why all of them drowned though my arithmetic was correct?

Readers please enlighten

Thanks

The confrontative actions by the Trinamool Congress led by Ms. Mamata Banerjee and supported by vested interests and certain political parties... have caused serious disruption to the progress of WB. I am pity of Bengalis.

I most endorse Mamta didi. For she is fighting for a cause. I am aware of the status of Land Reforms in West Bengal. Those who abuse Commies are most likely not aware of Land Reforms and what means to landless in rural India.

I would interested if any one can compare the Land Reforms implementation in Gujarat,Rajasthan, M.P.,Bihar ,U.P. Karnataka and A.P. Vs. West Bengal and Kerala, may be Tripura.

Being an outsider, I am totally upset at the recent developments in India’s West Benagal. I don’t know why the political parties there always try to make a score over poor man’s bread. The proposed Nano plant would have been instrumental in providing employment to the educated youths, and would be helpful in providing indirect employment to the poor people. Unfortunatly, nothing has happened. Long live WB…

Is it victory for Mamata Banerjee by TATAS pulling out of Singur?
No its not her vicory but WB Govt's defeat. It was never a fight betw Mamta and Tata but between Mamta and wb Govt. Tata had been permiited to set up unit for Nano by govt .WB Govt should have paid the farmers adequately for their lands. Mamta only capitolised on this fact to strengthen her party against CPM. She has no concern about well being of farmers. Tata not being political, did not foresee the politics till it was too late.Had Tata to purchase Mamta alongwith the land, he would not have landed in this mess.

Mamta Banerjee has tried to get some brownie points from the hapless farmers who have little but their faith in the politicians. And she will now project it as the farmers' victory, instead of a loss for the state.

The industry is quite dissatisfied!

@ Garima

Do you know West Bengal ’s land reform legislation does not directly attempt to turn the bargadars into landowners. However, the legislation includes two provisions intended to facilitate that conversion from bargadar to landowner. The legislation gives bargadars priority rights to purchase the barga land if the landlord decides to sell such land.

the slug fest will continue till the next election but the people of the state have been checkmated by the tasteless drama enacted on streets with utter disregard for the law of the land
