Chickens Come Home to Roost! Can we call it poetic justice? Having fought tooth and nail at Singur and having blocked land acquisition bill, now Ms Banerjee has to take the help of the same land acquisition act to take over fertile land for railways. Predictably TMC leaders are red faced.
While Ms Banerjee claims that minuscule land will be taken, railway officials are refusing to comment. The message is loud and clear, the job of government is to propose and that of opposition to oppose.
So TMC will be no different than left if voted to power and vice versa. The outcome so far the poor public is remained remains the same, suffering and lots of it, just like the proverbial grass which gets trampled when two elephants fight.

You are right. Land acquisition for establishing industries in Bengal is not so easy as there is only one-two percent of state's land with government. Rest of the land has been distributed among the landless. Let us see how will the TMC deal with this as it has blindly opposed every move of state government to acquire land for establishing industries.
