India :

In my existence over this planet for more than 50 years, I have come across many politicians but behanji takes the cake. She is the pioneer in more than one way.
From erecting her statues while still alive (perhaps she feels that she has done nothing for which her statues will be erected once she loses the hot seat). To ignoring supreme court directives, from receiving hundreds of crores as gift to encouraging corruption, her name tops the list.
With the runner ups from maharashtra, jharkhand, bihar & Chennai being miles apart. Bengal being no where on the scene being a bemaru state.
The sad part is that despite doing what she has done she survives & thrives. There are no signs that she will fade in to oblivion.
Hey Ram!

People from U P . were convinced while she was C M with BJP that she is a tough lady and will set the corrupt babus right which was need of the hour ,but now they have realised ,even BSP sympathiser comments though they have better facility than others but the vote Bank cant bring her to power, with Position of the BJP in U P , the neutral Voters have tilted towards Congress now, and expect change. of Power. Ms Mayawati knew it so she had hurriedly pushed the Projects, She had forgotten the proverb that slow and steady win the Race. still she has 3 years so she may turn the table with her ability .

Corruption was there before Mayawati came to power, what has been going on for decades cannot be changed by Mayawati alone. And the set officers may be new faces but they were already employed in the corrupt machinery.
What we need to see is how much distribution of opportunities has been made in a non-egalitarian Indian society.
