It is said that we get the leaders we deserve. I wonder why India Inc has voted so many corrupt politicians! All parties have their share of criminals, thieves and thugs.
Even if a few of them are elected, they are sufficient to create enough nuisances to grind our progress to an abrupt halt like a hand brake does to most powerful engine. I feel there is no clear cut answer. A part of public is ignorant, a part is blinded by tradition and dogmas and a part is not permitted to vote or is coerced by money or muscle to vote for an undeserving candidate – sometimes it is negative vote also.
But by and large, save in few pockets they have done well for instance so many dons have lost Lalu, Paswan… Left has got a drubbing so does SP and BSP also NDA whereas congress has done very well. Still there are enough questions on election results. For instance despite creating enough trouble in Bengal with so much agitation against industrialization and calling frequent Bandhs (shutdowns) at short notice and despite neither having competent people or a viable clear blue print for progress Ms Banerjee has got so much success perhaps because of anti incumbency factor.
People are simply fed up of antics of Karat, Yechuri and co despite the untiring efforts of Bengal CM. May be strong arm tactics have killed well meaning idea. So, it is very difficult to read public mind but one can hope that if despite enough troubles this government delivers, then may be there is hope for better in the next elections after all Narsimha Rao did lots of good in his tenure despite handicaps.
So let us hope for the better!
Amen!
Rome was not built in a day. Indian voters are getting aware on who to vote. Give them some more time.
but with people like ............ becoming cabinate ministers pursuant to being elected as mp i wonder when that golden day will come
just hope that post karuna his party will get fragmented & we will not have to suffer this but then no one knows about the moods of the lady in chennai
china may be streets ahead of us but in terms of liberty ,law & inheritance laws, well we are better off
the very fact that we can raise our voice speaks for it self
try an iota of dissent in china & you will go missing so.....
