Mamta sneezes TATA Ceases

It will be very difficult for MR. Ratan Tata to forget Ms. Mamta Banerjee the beloved “Ddi” from Bengal. The woes of Tata Motors & also of its associates are partly due to her adamant attitude whereby just when the Nano was going to be rolled they were sent packing to far away Gujrat. Not only they had to write off a massive amount but their plans to produce Nano have ruined absolutely.

However, for the crash in metal prices & the world wide recession their costs would have gone haywire. The delay has helped immensely to Tata competitors. Unsubstantiated whispers link them to the funding of month long agitation crippling Bengal & Nepal by blockade of national highway.

It is really amazing that despite the economy of Singur (the sleepy town housing proposed Nano plant) crashing over night Mamta has won 2 elections there to the chagrin of ruling left front. It is said that one can burn the rope but can not untie the knot.

This applies to Ms Banerjee who is still adamant on the return of the 300 acres of concrete filled land where not a blade of grass will grow even. It may be possible to make a blind person see the sun light. But one who chooses to close his eyes to reality is beyond redemption.

Tata motors, the premier blue chip, have suffered a loss in many years and it is forced to delay the payment of its suppliers who have already lost a fortune in Singur fiasco. Not only their payments have been withheld, they are also not getting fresh orders a double whammy indeed.

I wonder being located close to the famous kali temple of Kolkata; Ms Banerjee has become goddess personified to finish the industry from the face of Bengal just like sage Parushram the warrior who finished all the warriors from this earth 21 times.

I must admire Didi for her spirit or bravado, if I may say so, as while retaining her own seat is in jeopardy she is planning to contest the parliament elections (500+seats all over India) all alone. Some people never learn & are born to make others suffer. I can simple keep my fingers crossed but hopes of early solution to the problem.

Our politicians work only for themselves and not for the country - this is aptly proved by the Singur fiasco. Eastern India, though rich in natural resources has political interference to a great extent which deters corporates. Our politicians should come out of their mindset and work for the economic progress of our country.
