The recent extortion by Taliban from Sikhs settled in NWFP in Pakistan is similar to that save the money is not going to charities but for the enjoyment of Taliban.

Taliban have kidnapped Sikh leaders & have also auctioned their houses. The mild protest by India has been rebuffed by Pakistan foreign office as being interference in their internal affairs.

I feel duplicity is the rule of the game in politics. Why Kashmir is not an internal matter of India? Why lt. Col Purohit should be handed over to Pakistan? Why gen Musharraf sheds crocodile tears for Indian Muslims?

Why India compels Lanka to cease fire on LTTE who have killed our PM & whose widow is the chairperson of congress, the key constituent of UPA.

Why BJP is keeping mum though there is little difference between Sikhs & Hindus. (The eldest son in a Hindu family was brought up as Sikh in Punjab)Why one southern leader has promised military intervention in Sri Lanka to establish Eelam if elected & another went on a hunger strike.

Many questions, no answer. I feel the only power which has some power with Pakistan is USA leveraged by both wallet & bullet. I wonder if they are really interested in human rights violation being the biggest violators in Iraq as also in Afghanistan. I used to read the person having the long stick (power/lathii) owns the buffalo. This incident is a burning example of this.

I have no intention either to incite Sikhs or to drive a wedge between Hindus & Sikhs. I myself am a practicing Hindu visiting Gurudwara each day even when I have no Sikh friend or any direct connection with Punjab (not even a girl friend, present or past). But truth speaks louder than silence.
