The ominous uprising

Whenever I drive with hand brake on a red light starts flashing on the dash board & despite egging accelerator to move on the vehicle staggers with a limp. Similar seems to be situation with India today.

In order to cross over the threshold from being developing country to developed country, massive industrialization is required to take the burden of supporting our huge population from the tired shoulders of the agriculture.

When there was talks of corporate entry in retail & huge SEZ I found the idea very glamorous almost like Priyanka in her infamous bikini but I found that censor in the form of violent protests from all quarters has chopped off the scene & has prevented me from having a close look at a very appetizing sight (sorry ladies for once I would like to be honest shedding off my Good image even an old man can have a young heart “Chini cum” has vindicated my stand).

I really wonder what happened in Singur, Nandi gram & now Salboni. Darjeeling is another story so is Maharastra farmers have voted out reliance SEZ.

I wonder where from like once eradicated Maleria Naxalites & Maoists have emerged. I have faded memory of Kolkata in Naxal era & it is not a happy one. Formation of a Maoist government in Nepal has not helped the matters.

I have high respect for Shri Buddhadev Bhattacharya the CM of Bengal but he looks like a boatman rowing furiously with the boat tied to the shore. I wonder why there is so much resistance to development.

I have no idea what lies ahead & am keeping my fingers crossed. The only factor which is keeping my hope alive is the fact that nothing is constant - Even this will pass a way.
Amen!
