The state surrenders without fight

The collapse of empire. Left is known to take extreme positions. Having taken an aggressive stance in Singur and Nandi Gram and now Lalgarh and failed pathetically, resulting in a near electoral rout the party has now gone to the other extreme and is totally dejected, disillusioned and defeated.

The abject surrender of the administration in Lalgarh after alienating the locals is not a morale booster for police. Also what happened in Khijuri is nothing less than surrender of Germany. No state can survive if it loses its sovereignty. This is what is happening in Bengal, having tasted blood TMC is giving left a taste of its own medicine.

Sshall we call it dum dum dawai Mrs. Karat? I am not writing off left as yet. The tiger though wounded is sure to recover and make a come back to claim its pray. I am sure there will be a messy fight. Who will be the winner, only time will tell. But the pathway will be littered with corpses and painted red all over is for sure. God save Bengal.

All this is happening in Bengal as the TMC is having a patch up with Maoists. Mamta Banerjee is playing with fire and will have to face the situation that Maoists are going to create.

People of Bengal has to go through this difficult time as they are also responsible - not because they have done something wrong but they have not done anything and indifferent towards the wrong doing. System will change but people have to change first. Ohh!!!Sorry.... Bengal dislike changes. They love being static.

I think your knowledge about the Bengal is incomplete. Bengal is the state where countries' progressive movement has started. It's the state where social reforms movement begun first of all. Bengal is not static.

Comparing the situation with the predecessors of the current handlers of the govt, Buddhadeb is a better in person and understands situation. So the only way to end this conflict is that the govt needs to come to these people with open arms, no inhibitions or old CPI(M) political tricks (nuisance rather). Good luck.

Did you ever see the pics of people involved and joined in Maoist group. They are black, uneducated, poor, hungry people, tribes of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and Orissa. What tempted them to go against the govt and their machinery, so drastically? Its the govt itself. We dont care them and in the name of development, we have ignored and neglected them. We have evicted from their land and pushed them back to uncivilization. Atleast in West Bengal, this is what it really happened. These people had no other way then to go against a government, who instead of showing them light, pushed them to more darkness, in the name of red politics.

They are tribal people but not hungry and uneducated. West Bengal has the best record in feeding the people. Even the the literacy rate of Bengal is much- much better than many other stats.

Its true that Maoist have damaged the country resources (Food, Property and People) at large and need to stopped now. Even if, myself is against Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, chief Min - WB, still the idea of vowing to kill him is just a piece of crap and non-sense. Killing is not and never a solution to a problem.

Naxalism has originated from naxalbari in west bengal. Still West Bengal is one of the least naxal affected states.The naxal problem in the border areas is increasing due the fact that TMC has a patch up with them. Other wise Maoists don't have that capacity to work in the strong holds of CPI(M).

I too guess that there will be messy fight in West Bengal in the coming days. The left parties have a organizational base there and they will surely retaliate which will result in further blood shed.
