Simple because Laloo was before her. It is really sad that despite being members of the same coalition the two are exchanging punches in public.
Particularly as the two are not rivals. For Laloo it is sour grapes as Mamta is sitting on his perch. Mamta of course is seldom graceful.
Laloo had the stigma of fodder scandal behind him but had a canny business sense so his populist measures were not at the cost of railways.
Mamta is lily white so far scandals are concerned but perhaps do not have the bania approach. In the name of pleasing her constituency she has cared little for the long term viability of railways.
It will be a blasphemy of sorts if railways is privatized & ministry disbanded.But this will be the best solution for the viability of railways.
Alas Gandhi giri no longer prevails so let us choose between laloogiri or didi giri.
