The dramatic arrest and release of Miss Mafatlal soon after Raju episode keeps me confused. Such scandals are not new. From Anil Nanda to big B, we have seen them all having a tiff with law and finding their way around it. This when Dr Sen and many poor under trials waste their lives rotting in the living hell called jail.

While dons run their empires from there and have all comforts, we have found many more right from Ambani brothers paying short duties on their cars, yacht and planes. Politicians amass wealth out of no where with impunity. Jain diary, Tehalka, Nanda BMW, Uphaar, Manu Sharma, Kataria… All these cases have shown that the mighty care nothing for law and gets away with the consequences of their acts for long time and get away lightly.

Money attracts money

A wealthy is bold and fearless and does what he likes without wavering, boldly. So does it mean that we should all join the rat race and become rats or walk straight and narrow and live the life of a dog, no a worm. I feel that as we can not take a pin with us, money can not prevent diseases, depression, old age, stress or death.

Yes I have my moments of frustration but still find it fulfilling to spend the day as I wish in my dinghy hole in the wall office then dancing to the tune of others. Call me egoist or a stupid fool, but I am happy the way I am.
