Ye hai Bombay meri jaan!

Wake up KJO!
I am aghast, the way Karan Johar was made to bow in order to ensure smooth release of his film in Maharashtra. I am no fan of regional parties which have no substantial agenda. Being confident of their immunity from law and order they pick up soft targets on non issues may it be Bihari’s, Big B or jet, Who have no option but to dance to their tunes.

There is a clear legal path if some one is hurt by an expression of opinion known as libel or tort. Law is pain fully slow and is unlikely to cater to individual whims. So these guardian angles take the easy way out by hurting people where it hurts taking full advantage of their muscle power. We pay taxes so that police can ensure our safety. But it never moves without suitable inducement may it be political or financial.

So the victim has no option but to let himself bullied. In the process, inflating the stature of these prima donnas for their nuisance value, havens will not fall if Mumbai is called Bombay, which is how it has been called and is known world wide since British rule. No opinion poll was taken while changing its name to Mumbai. No one minded unnecessary expenditure in resource strapped economy after all it is public money.

Belonging to father in law or is it father? Bombay needs good infrastructure, law and order pollution and corruption free economy where a person feels safe. What is there in a name may it be Mumbai or Bombay. After all “Ye Hai Bombay Meri Jaan” (This is Bombay my love).

These parties are very good in creating chaos for baseless issues but when it comes to emergency situation, they are the first ones to hide in their houses.

How does it matter if we pronounce it Mumbai or Bombay? These are very small issues... please come over it!

I feel sad for the film industry at times. Sometimes they are threatened by the Don/goons or by the local politicians. Can't even do their work without any kind of threat.
