I think I will have to give up reading news papers each day early in the morning the headlines make me angry ,cause palpitation, hypertension , heart burn & acidity not to speak of a very bad mood
Not a nice way to begin the day.

This morning I was shocked to read that a young female professional working in it sector went to singur to have an audience with ms Banerjee to know her views reservations about alternate forms of rehabilitation scheme for farmers who have refused compensation for their land. The moment she identified herself & the object of her visit she was surrounded by menacing looking men who she came to know later were senior leaders not only she was heckled but was told to leave the place before they finish counting 1 2 3 all this while Ms Banerjee was taunting her from podium .

I think even stray dogs get some affection her crime she had lead a candle light vigil in sector 5 the it hub of kolkata & had meet the chief minister to know his views in democracy there can be diverse view points the very fact that Ms Banerjee has held the state to ransom is a case in point.Had dissent not been tolerated like china she would have disappeared with her supporters to no where or the truckers would have ended the blockade to its logical conclusion with a dash of red on the highway.

CPMis the past master in overcoming dissent but the ghosts of Nandigram ( where the successful re capture of TMC strong hold cost them panchayat elections apart from adverse Publicity .But for their cozy relationship with UPA ,the ruling alliance imposition of president’s Rule was a foregone conclusion)is holding them back albeit with considerable difficulty.

As has been widely reported the violent politics where any trace of dissent is crushed with a heavy hand has been initiated by the Left front .In order to pay them back in the same coin TMC was forced to use the same weapon in a crude manner but made the left realize that despite being a runner up she can not be ignored the fragmented political mandate gave her the opportunity to wield power disproportionate to the mandate given to her .

But as she did not have the benefit of a brain trust which the left have & intolerant of other assertive colleagues very soon she was surrounded by a coterie with their own vested interest.
